This study explores the key question of how internal and external resources affect the competitiveness of firms, particularly in emerging economies. Drawing on the Resource-Based View (RBV), dynamic capabilities, and strategic networks, the research investigates which resources play a decisive role in driving corporate performance. Based on an econometric analysis of 100 Moroccan firms, the findings reveal that investment in R&D, strategic partnerships, human capital, and intangible assets significantly contribute to competitiveness. R&D investment emerges as the strongest driver, followed by partnerships and human capital, underscoring the importance of both internal strengths and collaborative strategies.
