Securitization is an innovative financial instrument, defined as the process of converting an asset into negotiable securities sold to investors, thereby offering a new financing alternative. Introduced in Morocco in 1998 and improved in 2008, it is currently governed by Law 33-06 on asset securitization. This article analyses the current state of securitization in Moroccan banks and its future prospects. We conclude that, despite macroeconomic challenges, the market is expanding rapidly. With the new regulatory and fiscal framework, we expect the market to diversify and grow, with a recovery in issuance volumes expected. The study sheds light on these developments and paves the way for further research.
