This article analyzes the interactions between well-being, happiness, and development in the Moroccan context, drawing on the approaches of happiness economics. The main issue explored is the extent to which integrating the economics of happiness can contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable development model in Morocco—a country undergoing significant socio-economic transformation where traditional growth indicators are no longer sufficient to measure social progress. The research methodology adopted relies on a mixed approach. On the one hand, it includes a documentary analysis of existing research and policies. On the other hand, qualitative surveys conducted with local stakeholders provide an empirical perspective on perceptions and expectations regarding the economics of happiness in Morocco. The results of this study aim to offer recommendations for integrating well-being and happiness into Moroccan public policies, identifying the challenges and opportunities of such an approach to strengthen social cohesion and improve citizens’ quality of life.Downloads
