Abstract

Digitalization has become a key strategic driver for financial institutions, particularly in Africa where financial inclusion and technological transformation are critical challenges. This study aims to address the following research question: what are the determinants influencing the adoption of digitalization by bank managers in Africa?  An exploratory approach was adopted using a questionnaire administered to 33 bank managers across Africa via LinkedIn. Data were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The findings highlight key determinants including perceived usefulness, ease of use, social influence, service quality, and trust. The analysis identified three components explaining 77% of total variance.  This study provides managerial insights to support digital transformation in African banking.
