Numerous scientific studies have shown the role played by vocational education and training in improving the productivity of graduates and consequently stimulating economic growth. In Morocco, vocational training has existed since independence and has succeeded in developing skills in all areas and contributing to economic growth. This study attempts to show the effect of vocational training on economic growth in Morocco. The number of graduates represents vocational training and the real gross product per capita represents economic growth. The multiple linear regression model is applied to a panel (2015-2019) of data from twelve Moroccan regions taken from government sources. The data fitting results show that the model fits the observed data well and explains 38.18% of the variability of real gross domestic product per capita. Similarly, the results of the model show that vocational training has a significant impact on real gross domestic product per capita. A 1% increase in the number of vocational training graduates generates a 1.24% increase in real gross domestic product per capita. This impact is explained by the growth in the number of vocational training graduates and by the improvement in productivity by offering training that meets the needs of the labour market.Downloads
